CASALE AMATI
The building compound of the CASANO D’ORTONOVO old mill, was built by Marquis Amati, in the same place were, since 1300, a very old mill were located by the spring, where during the centuries, the water coming out enabled the heavy wheels connected to the millstones and it allowed the process of the production of the olive oil. All this ended during the 1940’s. The house remained unmanned for few decades, until the last progenies of the Marquis decided to give life to this old building turning it into a chaste and elegant holiday residence divided in two comfortable apartment, to host young families and people interested to explore the real face of our fascinating land. Still nowadays the old antique structure and most of the old pieces of furniture are well preserved and can give the atmosphere for a quite relaxing staying, with an helpful landscape of 7000 m2 of field, set up partially as grapevine and part with fruit trees, walnut and hazelnut.
