Casale Amati

Il Frantoio

Discover the charm of Casale Amati’s oldest wing

Romantic, welcoming, suggestive. Il Frantoio is the Casale Amati’s oldest dwelling: in the 1300s it housed one of the first olive oil mills of the eastern Liguria.

Divided into two levels, at the ground floor the structure hosts an ancient courtyard crossed by a small waterfall, which with its relaxing murmur accompanies the guests from the entrance. Where once there was the stable, today there is a long stone corridor provided with a large pellet stove and a small laundry, where you can store suitcases, bikes, surfboards and everything else needed for excursions.

Once at the first floor one can find the real living area with two double bedrooms, a single mini-bedroom on the bridge overlooking the waterfall, an original and well-equipped kitchenette, a small elegant living room and a bathroom with shower and sink.

The apartment is approximately 100 square meters and can comfortably accommodate up to five people.

The spaces are furnished with care, interspersing original vintage furniture and typical materials of the area (stale, marble, chestnut wood and so on) with all the necessary amenities for your stay such as oven, microwave, washing machine, air conditioning, heating, internet connection and so on.

The portion of the annex garden, preceded by a delightful porch area equipped with a large table, chairs, deckchairs and a marble sink with hot water, is also designed for relaxation and conviviality. This is the ideal place to relax under the sun, while regenerating and tasting a good glass of wine surrounded by vineyards, olive trees and fragrant aromatic plants.

A parking space is also available and the possibility of a public parking garage a few meters from Casale Amati.

NOTE: To enjoy a larger space, the house Il Frantoio can be rented together with the other areas of Casale Amati, La Marchesa, Le Macine placed in the same structure and on the same park or / and with Sala del Torchio, placed at the ground floor.

Simply Perfect
A perfect place to stay in with your family and/or friends. From the outside the old olive-oil mill may not look like much but inside you realize that you have stepped into a castle. It is a grand old place with parts of the mill still showing it one of the two great kitchens. There are plenty of rooms to choose from, the upper rooms with AC and down below cool enough for a hot summer. The garden is very pretty, with gold-fish in the dam, plenty of room to relax. The house is situated in the foothills of the mountains, but not far from the sea. There is plenty to do in the area and I cannot enough stress that you need to see this place and realize you will want to come back. The hostess is very pleasant and helpful, a very nice encounter.
