Casale Amati
Le Macine
A vacation amongst millstones and ancient cogs of the Casale Amati apartment
Casale Amati takes its name from the large old oil mill millstones left intact, together with the majestic chestnut cogs, which together define and give character to the living room that in the 19th century was used as a work place.
Organized on two floors, the apartment is about 110 square meters and it can accommodate up to six people.
On the first floor there is a living area, a large room with an original wood-burning stove, slate floor and a large well-equipped kitchenette with a marble sink.
Climbing an old stone staircase, you reach the sleeping area, which includes two double bedrooms, a bedroom with two single beds and a suggestive view of the inside, a bathroom with a shower and marble and stone finishings, a small laundry room and a pleasant terrace that allows guests to admire the surrounding hills. Deck chairs and a parasol invite you to enjoy the quiet of the landscape, surrounded by greenery.
The furniture, natural and comfortable, brings together antique home furnishings and prints inspired by the world of the countryside, the territory and the history of the farmhouse with all the innovations needed to create a pleasant living space such as oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, air conditioning, internet connection and so on…
The large portion of garden at your disposal is a real outdoor lounge, equipped with a large marble table, chairs, deck chairs and a barbecue. Crossed by a small stream that in the past powered the mill, this is an ideal environment where have a good glass of wine and enjoy a home-cooked lunch, surrounded by fruit trees and rare species planted at the beginning of the 1900s by the lawyer Marquis Panfilo Ingolotti, a botany and zoology enthusiastic.
A parking space is also available and the possibility of a public parking garage a few meters from Casale Amati, with a separate access, passing through the garden.
NOTE: To enjoy a larger and wider space, La Marchesa can be rented with the supplement of Le Macine apartment, arranged on the same floor, plus Sala del Torchio, at the ground floor together with the lovely Il Frantoio, an independent house inside the same park.
